Colored-Denim Conundrum

A few months ago, I went through a period of MAJOR deliberation over colored denim. It was brutal, mostly for anyone who had to speak to me during that time period and listen to the decision-making process. (I apologize to all — the list is too lengthy to get into, but involves my mother, roommate, coworkers, friends, and the occasional stranger.) My search resulted in me buying multiple pairs of colored jeans and indecisively debating each one to death like some sort of uber-annoying Goldilocks.

Too short: This pair of Paige jeans was purchased first and beloved until I deemed them too short after remembering that I live in Minnesota, and ankle-length pants will likely equal frostbitten ankles in the winter.

Too Red: This pair of William Rast skinnies was also in the running for awhile, but sadly eliminated, partly due to a lack of pockets, which is a deal-breaker for me. Let's be serious, everything is better with pockets.

Just right: I eventually found this perfect pair of Paige jeans, and I have to say, they're one of the best items in my closet. They're the perfect length and color (a dark, rich merlot that goes with practically everything). And even better, they NEVER stretch out.

FYI, all three of the pairs are currently on sale, so snap them up while you can!
